Back in April this year we announced that we had won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, and on September 24th in our Brighton HQ we were honored to host the Lord and Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex, who presented us with the award.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, designed to recognise and encourage outstanding achievements in the fields of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility). The Queen’s Awards scheme was instituted by Royal Warrant in 1965 and the first Awards were made in 1966.
We won in the category International Trade in recognition for exporting success and our international trading strategy. The award is testament to how much hard work we have put in as a team at Customer Thermometer, since its conception in 2010, and we are so delighted to have the Queen’s Award logo proudly displayed next to our own.
129 businesses were recognized this year in the International Trade category. These companies will have all had to demonstrate and evidence that they have achieved substantial growth in overseas earning and in commercial success (for their business size and sector) through either outstanding achievement over three years or continuous achievement over six years.
