Setting up a Kayako Classic Thermometer

If you are using the new version of Kayako, click here.

Create your Kayako Embedded Thermometer

Create a new Embedded Thermometer.

Choose “Kayako” from the i) Embedded Thermometer type drop down box.

Generate your embed code

Click the Generate embed code button. You will see a window popup.

The most used fields are auto-populated, ready for tracking. Add any other Kayako fields you wish:

Click “Generate HTML”.

Copy the HTML generated in the box on the right hand side.

Add your Thermometer icons to Kayako

In the Kayako admin panel, go to “Templates” >”Templates” > “Tickets”

Select the template called “email_ticketstaffreplyhtml”

Pate the HTML that was generated by Customer Thermometer.

Paste it before the first tag that starts: “<{$_language…”

Click “Save & Reload”.

The Thermometer is then embedded at the foot of any replies to a ticket made by your staff member.

Add the survey to any of the templates you choose.

That’s it, you’re ready to go. Your Kayako integration is complete. Responses and feedback will be registered, alongside your customer data from Kayako in your Customer Thermometer reporting.

Final steps

Once you’ve embedded your Thermometer into Kayako, you’ll need to finalize your landing pages. You can enable a comment field, add your logo, customize the wording, and lots more!

Don’t forget you can also enable instant email alerts, and set a lockout to prevent the same person responding more than once within a chosen timeframe.
